Trouble adding Shaft Doors in Huntington Plaza
« on: March 05, 2020, 11:23:30 pm »
Hello everyone, I have been trying to complete my Huntington Plaza project that I finished about 75 percent of nearly 10 years ago.  I have added 4 new Elevators (Total is now 68 elevators) and when I added the coding for the shaft doors, they all worked, however they did not make the cut in the shaft wall to pass through when the doors open.

Maybe someone could possibly send me a private message if they have any ideas? Thanks so much.

I think that happens because the AssignedShaft parameter is not set to the correct shaft where the elevator is in.
Thank you! I missed that part. I had the elevators in the right spot, but the shaft number was entered wrong.  Good ole copy and paste and forgot to edit that line of text. I appreciate your help.

But now a new problem developed on my elevator #'s 61 to 64 which I originally put in this building nearly 10 years ago and they have always loaded no probably and worked the way I had them set, but now all of a sudden I get an error while trying to load the building.

Script error on line 6948: Floor -6 out of range
Section: 4
Context: AddShaftDoors 1, ElevDoors32, 0.2, 0, -3.426, 0, 0

So I turned off that line of text in my file. The building now loads correctly, but those 4 elevators no longer have shaft doors.

Did you accidentally damage some of the coding that put those shaft doors in place? (e.g. cutting off one or two parameters by mistake when trying to type some code under the AddShaftDoors command). That happens to me all the time.

I never figured out what I did, but I got them working again somehow!  :-p
