thyssenkrupp evolution 200
« on: November 03, 2018, 12:50:04 pm »
As a starter of this thread, and in case you haven't known yet, thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas has recently launched a brand new machine room less (MRL) elevator system designed for low to mid-rise buildings called synergy 200. This brand new elevator system uses flat belt ropes instead of conventional steel ropes, as well as the TAC 32T control system. It is basically very similar to OTIS's GeN2 and Schindler's 3100/3300/5500/6200/6300/6500 elevators.

The setup for the logic cabinet seems very similar to Schindler's idea of fitting it in the door jamb. Also the whole belt cable system and the look of the motor does seem very similar to Gen2 and Schindler 3300.

We'll see about that.

Also I forgot to mention that it's quite similar to KONE's UltraRope technology.

It's just that thyssenkrupp has released a brand new MRL elevator systems in the United States which look very similar to the OTIS GeN2 and Schindler 3300/5500 (e.g. flat steel belts instead of traditional steel ropes), and that OTIS would file a lawsuit for the identical belts that thyssenkrupp is using. And no, there hasn't been any lawsuit case so far between the two companies (hopefully it won't happen in the future).
