Expanding the Vehicle section in 1.11 alpha
« on: June 05, 2022, 05:47:28 pm »
Hi! I am here to suggest that we should add more to the vehicle section. One of the suggestions is to add in sounds. I personally think it would be nice to add in engine sounds for vehicles such as idle sound, ignition, and the revving sound and also the horn sound if skyscrapersim were to become multiplayer.

Not only that, but I also think we could design actual car bodies and add in extra seats other than the driver seat. Also the vehicles should not just be limited to street cars but also vans, SUVs, buses, trucks, motorcycles, and limousines. Trains would also be nice to add.

I personally think it would be wise to borrow elements from Rigs Of Rods, which is a vehicle simulation program and it also uses the OGRE graphics engine.

If this suggestion goes through, I will definitely be happy

Together, we can innovate Skyscrapersim in many ways that has never been seen before. Just bring up an idea and we can implement it!

You could team up with others to then develop the vehicles together.

Hmm. I wonder if you could maybe turn the buses into trains. Could be useful if you had an extremely large map.

Sounds like a plan.

That would probably require another new update for skyscrapersim. I definitely support having trains in the software.
