Download Skyscraper Simulator / Re: New build: 11/27/24 build

My proposed solution to make G-elevators' proposal a reality is to change the weather system and possibly allow dynamic weather
This could maybe also allow some lighting improvements.
My other proposals are normal and metalness maps for textures.

that's a fault on your end. try making sure that file extensions are shown.

bit of a future suggestion, but if/when machine rooms are added, clearing a malfunction could have you resetting the elevator's power or controller or maybe  fixing a wire that has shorted on something

A suggestion for adding hydraulics, make it some sort of an elevator config option, and maybe in the future add some sort of command that makes elevator machine rooms

I have an old microsoft surface tablet, but I'm not sure if it has an ARM CPU. I'll check when I get home.

Elevator Discussion / Re: Have you ever been stuck in a lift/elevator
« on: April 24, 2024, 09:18:57 am »
Personally, I've never been stuck in any elevator I've been in, it may be that I don't push my luck by trying to engage the safety brake on elevators, it may be because Massachusetts requires well maintained elevators, I'm not completely sure. I recently rode an old generic hydro that I feared would get stuck, but it didn't. Likely the least maintained part of the elevator was the cab lights, which were dim.

Off Topic / Probably a stupid question

So, I'm wondering if it's possible to adjust the size/positions of objects while the engine is running, this appears to be possibly but i don't know how to get it to work

Ah, I'll keep that in mind. That also explains why when I noclip into the currently otherewise inaccessible basement of 25th street and then disable noclip i fall through the floor

I replicated the bug in Alpha 11 as well, I'm not sure what exactly is causing this, I'll attempt reconfiguring my render setup in Alpha 12 dev and see if that helps.
The bug persists with different OGRE configs, not sure what else to try.

Update: The bug occurs at Dellerton Plaza II but only effects stairwells and elevator shafts. On all buildings, noclipping through a wall or interfloor area causes the floor(s) in question to break; wall textures, doors, and floor colliders do not work (upon noclip being disabled). Upon further investigation, I determined that bugged floors will load correctly if entered via stairways, elevators, doors, or by the floor you start on being loaded in.
I have attached an example of the bug on the original Triton Center below.

So it appears that it's an issue with skyscrapersim, could be my renderer maybe, I'm not sure if I have it set to the best option, more on the bug, it occurs when I noclip into a new floor, either by flying up or into it, and the bug in question is various walls failing to load. this might have something to do with optimization, but I am not completely sure. Floors that are entered first entered normally with collisions on do not appear to experience the bug.

Integration Projects / Re: Haru's Integration Project
« on: March 21, 2024, 12:16:31 pm »
What about other features? I'm having trouble deciding on whether I should utilize more integrations because I can't really figure out what exactly they have to offer, it's kind of confusing because i downloaded the EG881 IP for curves, not realizing those weren't an SROC function

This building uses SROC, and will use ObjectPlus in future releases.

So, what additional SROC functions does your integration pack have? I'm looking to expand my utilization of SROC scripting for 25th street.

Software / Re: EG881 - Possible bug?
« on: March 21, 2024, 10:38:57 am »
I am not sure if it does, the bug appears to simply correlate with EG881's data pack. I will re-install Alpha 11 and see if the noclip bug occurs on the original Triton Center.

Upon further investigation, this appears to be an Alpha 12 bug. occurred when noclipping on the original Triton Center.
