General Discussion / How do you plan out your buildings?
« on: April 21, 2024, 12:03:12 pm »
Hello y’all!
I’m an upcoming building/content creator for Skyscrapersim. For context though, I once tried to do a building, but I suddenly lost interest and dropped out 3 days later.
I have come back with lots of ideas in mind, and some of them are coming up pretty well.
I’m currently using QCAD to plan out my first (realistic) building. It works well but it’s kind of (not difficult, but tricky) to plan out certain aspects, such as wall thicknesses. And also, I’m using EG881’s textures but I don’t know if that’s allowed when uploading buildings.
Question is, how do you all plan your buildings? Do you use CAD programs to draw your building or do you draft it on a paper? Where or how do you get inspiration for them? And also, where do you get your textures from? Are you allowed to use for instance, EG881’s? Or do you have to create your own when uploading?
Thank you for reading!
If you have any suggestion or tip please leave it here
