Can you just make those as a .zip file as the pictures are too large.

Someone should probably install a forum mod like what was on the old forum that displays pictures at a certain maximum width but still maintains aspect ratio.

Technically, that can be done. When pictures are uploaded as attachments they are displayed at a maximum width. However, since the forum is out of storage space there aren't any more attachments on this forum. All of the pictures you currently see have been embedded at their original size.

If there is a mod which does the same maximum width rule for embedded images then that would be useful to have.
