Best program for making floor plans?
« on: April 23, 2019, 05:51:40 pm »
I know someone posted about this a while ago but I didn't want to bump the old topic so I made this one.

Could anyone tell me what the best program for making floor plans is? I know June replied "Microsoft Visio" but I don't currently have Microsoft Visio but I plan to get it in July. Could anyone tell me what a good alternative would be until I get Visio?
Thanks a mil,

Maybe PowerPoint?
or OpenOffice (Open Source).

Any visualizing software can work here.

Also a site called http://floorplanner.com allows you to make floorplans that are very realistic.

Advantages: realistic, easy to use, easy to place items.
Disadvantages: site only allows up to 3 floors on the free plan, have to pay for subscription to get access to more floors. Can’t convert to skyscrapersim code but you can use as a starting point.

I think there are workarounds to the premium subscription requirement for more than 3 floors by placing blueprints next to each other, or by adjusting the height.

Together, we can innovate Skyscrapersim in many ways that has never been seen before. Just bring up an idea and we can implement it!
