Yes, but not by security at all.

1st time: Müller department store, Offenburg, Germany (After I turned off my camera, a staff member told me not to take pictures).
2nd time: Ramat Aviv Mall, Tel Aviv, Israel (I attempted to film the new multi-storey car park elevator, then security told me not to take pictures, I was very depressed then as those elevators weren't filmed at the time, few months later, I filmed those elevators).
3rd time: Castro store at Azrieli Ayalon Shopping Center, Ramat Gan, Israel (I've planned to do 3 rides, but when I tried to go up again to the first floor, a staff member saw me and asked me if everything is okay, I told him yes and left the store).
4th time: Azrieli Center Triangular Tower, Tel Aviv, Israel (When I went into the elevator, two staff members saw me and told me not to take pictures, I only realised it after watching the video on my camera).
5th time: Eliyahu House, Tel Aviv, Israel (I was about to turn on my camera inside the elevator because there was a security guard next to them, but when I tried to type the top floor on the outsde keypad[elevators are modded Schindlers w/ SchindlerID or Miconic 10], it says that the floor is locked and the security guard saw me and told me to leave the building).
6th time: an office building in Tel Aviv, Israel (I wanted to film one of the two external glass elevators[in a bank of 6 elevators], but they were locked. So I waited for someone to "hitch a ride" with him so I can film the elevator, then one of the teants in the building came in and I followed him to the elevator. He saw me and asked me what I was doing, I told him that I film elevators as a hobby, then he asked me to where I need to go and I answered that I just wanted to film the view and then he told me to get out from the elevator). I know that it was a bad idea to film there as I didn't know that the elevators there are locked.
7th time: Top Dan, Tel Aviv, Israel (This was happened two days after the previous incident, I got my new videocamera and went to film few elevators in my area. I filmed two elevators before reaching the Top Dan office building to refilm the lifts there, and decided to film the carpark elevators first. But then a satff member came into the elevator at level P3, so I turned off my camera and waited for him to get out from the elevator. Then I went from the ground floor to level P1 and I decided to film the main elevators[bank of 3, only one car serves level P1], but when the elevator came to me, the same staff member went off the elevator and asked me why I was filming, I told him that I film elevators as a hobby and he asked me again why I was filming, I told him again that I film elevators as a hobby, and he asked me and I answered him over and over again until he told me the photography is prohibited in the building. I deleted the videos I filmed there because I got horrible videos from there).
8th time: Ofer Marom Shopping Center, Ramat Gan, Israel (Okay, this was one of the worst incidents I've experienced while filming elevators, I filmed the internal elevator there and I got two full roundtrips when I was trying to get three. When I arrived at level 1 in the third up trip, a staff member came in and I turned off my camera. I was about to turn it on when she left the elevator. But then a guy(father with his kid) came into the elevator when the same staff member was next to him and asked me why I was filming. I told him that I film elevators as a hobby and he told me to get out from the mall, a thing that is considered illegal in my home country as malls are concidered a public space).

I've had several incidents with security before.

1. Kutabex Mall, Bali
A security guard called me while I was taking photos of the scenic elevators. He asked me for what and I said it's just for my own which he agreed. Before I left the building, he told me to get permission first before taking another photos in the future.

2. Undisclosed building, Jakarta
Caught by security after filming a Schindler Miconic 10 in there and I was sent to their office for interrogation. This was my worst incident so far in terms of getting caught by security.

3. Lippo Plaza Sunset, Bali
Caught by security just after I started filming the Hyundai service elevators. He saw me filming and accompanied me for the rest of the video. After a bit of explanation to him, he was kinda okay with me filming the elevators, and in the end he told me that I should ask for permission first before filming them. Sometime after that incident when I used to go there frequently to attend a fitness club, I did one more retake of the elevators and I didn't have any problem.

4. Somewhere in Hong Kong
Caught by security just after I finished filming an elevator and was forced to delete the video, otherwise he would confiscate my camera.

5. Seminyak Village Shopping Mall, Bali
Was told by the manager or smth (I think he had something to do with managing the mall) while I was filming the first Schindler 5500 in Bali with Linea Vetro fixtures. He blatantly told me to use the escalators instead, claiming that the elevator wasn't ready yet. I started all over again after he walked away because he ruined my video, and thankfully everything went well when I filmed it again. I went there just a day after the grand opening so I guess that's why he said that to me. But seriously, I would not have known that the elevator wasn't ready to the public yet if he had not put any sign about that. I think he was making an excuse just because I was filming the elevator.

For me, yes.
I got busted by security countless times, which is too hard to tell my experiences.
I am still filming elevators, though.

At this moment, no, because I usually film in either places which I know allow photography or I get permission to film the lift.

The Square Tallaght:
1. I got caught by security when I was in a lift in my local shopping centre and I safety-broke it. The lift had gone out of service though and I pressed the alarm. Eventually, the security fella came and got me out. He noticed I was filming the lift and said "You shouldn't be filming these lifts under any circumstances and next time, use the stairs." There is no sign in the shopping centre saying photography isn't allowed so I have no idea why he was telling me not to film them. And also, if I'm not allowed to use the lifts, why are they there then? And also, I was going up to my car to grab my other phone which was parked on the 6th floor so he had no reason to tell me off.

Dunnes' Stores, St. Stephen's Green:
2. I got caught by a manager when I was filming an escalator in Dunnes' Stores in St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre. The only reason I was filming it was because it is an epic O&K escalator. The manager said that filming was not allowed in the shopping centre (Again, there was no sign saying "No filming allowed" although there was a "No flash photography" sign) and told me to use the lift next time, which is very weird as usually, people tell you to use stairs or escalators/travelators rather than lifts.

Onboard a Luas Tram in Dublin:
3. I was caught by a Luas driver when I forgot to tag on my Leap card at a stop. I said to him "Sorry, I meant to tag on but I forgot to". He got really aggressive and said "YOU MUST PAY FINE FOR USING TRAM WITHOUT PAY!" (I think he was from eastern Europe). He told me to get off and walk the rest of the way. I got off but I got on the next tram home and I remembered to tag on this time.

Update 24/4/19:
Alicante-Elche Airport, El Altet, Spain (15/4/19):
4. I got caught by Security when I was playing my piano, listening to Spotify and watching one of @ZZ9 's live streams on my iPhone. He told me I shouldn't be listening to music, playing my piano or using my iPhone in the airport. (There was no sign saying no one could do any of these things, plus I use my iPhone every year in Alicante-Elche airport for recording the PA system). What he did after that was he tried to snatch my iPhone out of my hand then failed. He then told me to leave. Then my flight was called and he got mad that the PA system was working for some reason. This is now my worst scenario.

What? That's really nonsense! I have never seen a security like that! At least HK airport's security let us use our phone, filming lifts (yes.) and playing music. (But there is no piano lol)

That security person was also there last year when I was at the Airport and he told me I was too young to be getting salt out of Burger King on my own. I don't think he really understands how airports work.
Thanks a mil,

Yes, I have been caught by security. This was almost 2 months ago at the College Avenue parking garage in Athens, GA. My dad, his girlfriend and I rode the elevator up to the 6th floor, but there was another floor (the rooftop parking floor) that the elevator didn't serve. So, we walked up the stairs to that floor, and we saw signs that said "Do not go past this door." But, we ignored those signs, thinking that random people put them up there for whatever reason. So, we open the door, and we go out and see the view of downtown Athens. Then, like 3 minutes later, a security guard walks up to us and asks us if we parked up here. We didn't so we said no, and he told us to leave that floor so us and the security guard walk back down the stairs to the 6th floor and we go back down the elevator to the ground floor. The guard was super friendly, and me and him had a conversation about elevators while we were going down to the ground floor. He told us the reason people who didn't park up there weren't allowed to be up there was because there had been some problems in the past. Then, when we got off, we said goodbye to the guard and we moved right along.

So yeah, that's my story of getting caught by security. I recorded the whole thing. Link:
The video starts at timestamp 13:30.
