Random Activity Bug
« on: September 24, 2020, 03:44:09 pm »
Maybe this isn't really a "bug," per se, but I can't find a solution to an issue I'm having with the "random activity" option. I'm currently working on a building that is really three in one; a hotel, a parking garage, and a convention center (connected via skybridges and tunnels). Whenever I enable random activity when testing the building, only certain elevators are actually used. There is one bank in the parking garage that is used. The hotel has three banks, only one of which is used. None of the elevators in the convention center are used.

Is there a way to separate these spaces so that all of the elevators are used with "random activity?"

That is probably because each of the buildings are in their own .bld file. When maps use the load function when loading multiple buildings, it makes it so that the only building that is active is the one that the camera is located in.

It's all one .bld file. I was thinking of separating them though.

One .bld file may include more than one building in it. Multiple .bld files can be included and loaded from a single .bld file.

As far as I know there is no way to divide floors into separate areas. If your building has two areas on the same floor that you can’t get between without having to go to another floor first, skyscraper has no way of knowing that.
