Skyscraper 2.0 Released
« on: July 24, 2025, 01:21:11 pm »
Skyscraper 2.0 has finally been released, developed since June 2005.  This is being released because of the major rework that's going on in the 2.1 codebase, and also because it's mostly stable now.  This version is mostly the same as RC5, but with a couple minor patches and the door fix from before.  For subsequent releases, they'll be version 2.0.1 (Update 1), 2.0.2 (Update 2), etc.  Tonight I'll see if I can get a build of the 2.1 Alpha code online.

The patch is for the RC5 release, I can see if I can get a patch together for Alpha 11 if it's needed.

Changelog since RC5:
-ScriptProc: fix direction value processing for AddDoor command
-Updated version for a 2.0 release
-Fix delimiter in uname command when no version state is specified
-VMConsole: remove Frontend mention from version command
-SBS: if a texture material is already loaded, report an error and exit before trying to create a new texture. This fixes an issue where new textures with the same name as existing ones would cause a sim engine to have a fatal error and shut down

Very nice 2.0 release! It's nice to have had a hand in the development of this (In-car keypads and various fixes and parameters). I can't wait to see what comes next in 2.1 Alpha!
