Work on this IP will now progress slower, since I just got a computer with a lower clock speed processor (1.1 GHz), as opposed to 2.4 GHz which my old computer's processor has, and resulting from that, the building takes longer to load and is also harder on the framerate.

Thanks for letting me know. Would you be able to explain why this is the case? Did you move from a desktop to a budget laptop or was it do to something else. Not gonna judge but I am curious as to why this is.
Together, we can innovate Skyscrapersim in many ways that has never been seen before. Just bring up an idea and we can implement it!

1.1 GHz? That sounds like the base clock. It should clock higher under heavy load as long as there is enough cooling.

Update: October 1, 2024
More trims
Welcome to October! I have added another detail in the elevators - glass wall trims (this was done yesterday). In addition, I have also re-added the trims for the granite walls on the office floors, as I managed to get them not interfering with the elevator doors. Next, I might start working on lighting for the building and custom ceilings that accompany it. Here are some screenshots of my progress.

Update: October 4, 2024
Failed lighting try
I tried to implement lighting in the elevators an an experiment, but it unfortunately did not turn out the way I wanted it to. On the other hand, the custom ceilings are still going to be in my pipeline, just without custom lighting effects. Here is a screenshot of one of multiple failed attempts I tried.

Make sure to vote in the poll now - it will close tomorrow!

Update: October 5, 2024
Voting has closed.
I have just closed the poll now. Here are the results: The most votes (the winner) turned out to be on the fourth option (buildings within a building), which I also prefer, with 8 votes. The other votes for the second, third, and fifth option tie each other, with 2 votes each. The option with the least votes is the first option, with no votes at all. Coming soon (once I return), I will add the "buildings within a building", as in the winning fourth option, and also add custom ceilings. No screenshots need to be provided at this time, as the building is still in it's current state.

I will take a break from working on this IP, starting today. I will return, and start working on the winner in the poll and the custom ceilings, anywhere between Sunday, October 13 to Wednesday, October 16.

I will now return, in a staggered way (because of my slow computer and other things I have to also focus on), to working on this IP. The first thing I will do is fix the primitive round columns, since the prim code has been updated in a recent build.

Update: October 20, 2024
Starting "building-within-building"
I have started working on the first "building-in-building". This will be a fictional clothing and apparel store, named LUVI'S Apparel, and be ten floors tall with a KONE elevator. I have added the interfloor areas and the elevator shaft. Additionally, I fixed the front walls of the machine room for the main elevators. Next up, I will add the basic framing for the store, change the custom mullion windows to the no-interfloor-window type, and start work on the elevator itself. Other buildings-in-building will be added in later builds of g-ElevIntegration (after Build 3, the next build). Here are some screenshots of my progress.

I will pause work on g-ElevIntegration, starting today. Work on the IP will restart in the week spanning November 10 to November 16, just under two weeks from now. The work will include continuing to set up the data (which will include a fictional KONE fixture set, yet to be revealed) and working on the elevator and other parts of the first "building-within-building". I have already partly worked on the fixture set's data, but I have not started on the data for LUVI's Apparel itself yet.

Unexpected circumstances have occurred and now my return to working on this IP has been delayed. I will now return in the week spanning November 24 to November 30. Coming soon (once I return), I will redesign the forum-facing look of posts in g-ElevIntegration.

I will return to working on this IP tomorrow. The design of the IP posts' forum-facing look will now not be changed until January 1, 2025. Restating what I will be doing:
The work will include continuing to set up the data (which will include a fictional KONE fixture set, yet to be revealed) and working on the elevator and other parts of the first "building-within-building". I have already partly worked on the fixture set's data, but I have not started on the data for LUVI's Apparel itself yet.
Poll:
There is a poll that I put up above regarding the next major building project that I should do next (after releasing g-ElevIntegration Build 3 and alongside finishing up the Carter Building). Go ahead and vote for my next major building in it! The poll will be locked when g-ElevIntegration Build 3 is released. The reason why there are so many options is because I managed to brainstorm many ideas for buildings. UPDATED (November 25, 2024): I have decided that for the other buildings in the list, the one with the second-most votes will be in post-Build 5 g-ElevIntegration, and the remaining buildings that have been voted for will be post-Build 7.

Will there be a service lift that serves the entire tower? Or is there no space for one?

In the Carter Building, there is no space for a service lift (elevator), especially towards the top of the building.
