I trial and errored using a text editor, reloading SkyscraperSim as I edited.

Update: April 23, 2024
Stairwell started
I have just started on the stairwell, and adjusted the external walls of the Carter Building to account for the relocation of the stairwell. Also, I tried to make the stairs similar to the ones in escalatorgeek881's JP Richardson Visitor's Center building, but ended up removing those stairs. Here are some screenshots of my progress.

Jusu_Elevatorfriend what version of skyscrapersim are you using if I may ask?
because mine seems to load the bld fine and I'm using the current Alpha 11 build
are you using alpha 12 or an older version of the game by any chance?

You must use the development version, as 1.11 Alpha does not support flashing floor indicators for nudge mode.
If you do not want to use the development version, just remove the second texture out of the code.

Update: May 4, 2024
Major stairwell progress
I have made major progress on the stairwell. I tried to use TextureOverride on the steps, but it did not look right, no matter how I tried, but also, my only way around it is to make the steps be all one texture, so I left it as is (with the broken TextureOverride). TextureOverride works normally anywhere else though. A feature request for a command that I made that solves this problem is awaiting reply by eventhorizon. I also added the handrails, and used the Cut function where the glass is going to be. I also added signs with the word "floor" above the floor ID signs, except on floors which are nonexistent (floors within the two atriums). I also extended the glass portion of the stairwell down 5 floors, and added a cover where the transition is between the glass portion and the solid wall portion. Next, I will work on redoing the stair doors, and adding SROC trims to them. Here are some screenshots of my progress.
