Okay, I do believe I found an issue. It's in the service lift inside the corridor directly to the right after the entrance where you spawn. It's missing the call button on every floor.

Welcome back! I initially downloaded the first build right before your hiatus, and I will say, it was lovely. I'm glad to see you making stuff again and look forward to whatever comes next!

It's great to see you active again. The new build is really well done.

I don't want Skyscrapersim to die either, because it's a really nice project.
Thanks for the support!

Introducing Point Square Dublin
Point Square Dublin is a massive scale, seven storey over triple basement mixed use building located in Dublin's international financial district on the North Dock. It is one of the largest single buildings ever constructed in Ireland and features the 4 star Gibson Hotel, 7 floors of commercial office space principally tenanted by Yahoo and Verizon, a small shopping centre anchored by a Dunnes Stores supermarket and Odeon cinema and a three storey basement car park. All of the lifts are KONE.
I have actually tried to emulate this building many times but kept either messing up development or getting the dimensions wrong. This time, I'm striving for completion, and this emulation is going to be the flagship building of Build 3 of this project.
As this is one of my favourite real life buildings of all time for many reasons, I am going for a slightly higher level of polish for this project, opting for a photo-realistic exterior and realistic glass lifts. A lot of work has already happened on this building, but much more is needed to get it finished. This building should be released some time in the month of April though plans are subject to change.

Current progress:
The building exterior and landscape is largely complete besides bug fixing.

Floors 3, 4 and 5 of the Gibson Hotel are mostly complete, only leaving floor 6 to go before the hotel will be done.

But there is still work to be done; the shopping centre levels are completely empty and good luck finding a parking space in that empty void in the basement.

A more comprehensive list of jobs:
- Finish floor 6 of hotel
- Add light furnishing to all hotel rooms (beds and bathroom partitions)
- Add some extra lifts
- Build all stairwells
- Install all escalators
- Partition and decorate the shopping centre and cinema
- Partition all of the office space
- Build the entire basement car park including ramps and the lift connecting the car park to the public plaza outside the hotel
- Bug-fix and polish whole building

Updates on this project will be posted every Sunday until it is complete, after which Build 3 of the Portfolio will be released, now sporting four buildings. The development roadmap is now one building per release until all of my building ideas are realised.

Nice to see you here again. Seeing the screenshots from Blanchardstown Centre (especially the third and fourth ones) make me think that they were real photos. I hope to install this new update on my desktop PC so that everything can load fine. (Yes, running Skyscraper on my laptop is not feasible anymore.)

Thanks for the support! I considered that, but if someone has a legitimate issue to report during that time then they won't be able to report it. I might do that if a new build hasn't just released maybe so that there shouldn't be any issues to report.

The Lift Excelsior Portfolio

Welcome back!
After a long hiatus, The Lift Excelsior Portfolio is now back on the Skyscraper Simulator Forum available for public download!
Many of the plans made back then have since been scrapped, though Build 2 has since been released and contains a new building, Blanchardstown Centre.

After several dealings with severe disrespect in this community, I decided to make this project private last year, though now it's been a while, I've decided I'm going to give this forum another chance. The forum, and the community around Skyscraper nowadays, is so incredibly dead, I feel it's only right I breathe some new life into it. I'd hate to see Skyscraper completely die out so I'm going to do everything I can to keep it alive.
I will no longer be tolerating any disrespectful posts on this topic. By posting on this topic, I take it you understand that I am a real human being, just like you, I have a life off the Internet as well as on it and I cannot devote every living second of my time to this project. If you cannot treat me with respect in your posts, there will be consequences.

Current Buildings:
1. Athlone Town Centre
Athlone Town Centre is the Irish Midlands' premier shopping destination. Situated in the heart of Athlone, Co. Westmeath, the large shopping centre is anchored by many big chain stores including H&M, Zara, Next, M&S and TK Maxx, and also contains an 11-storey Sheraton hotel, lots of apartments and a three storey basement car park. All the main lifts are KONE MonoSpace but some of the shops and other businesses have different brands of lift. This project was completed in April of 2025.

2. Blanchardstown Centre
Blanchardstown Centre is Ireland's second largest shopping centre behind Dundrum Town Centre, located in north Dublin and opened in the late 90s. This is my second attempt at emulating it after my failed 2021 single building attempt, this version including the main shopping centre, much of the landscape and parking, the multi-storey car park and three extraneous retail parks. Many types of lift are included, from Schindler Eurolifts to ThyssenKrupp Galaxies and LiSA-modded Schindler hydros to Oakland hydraulics.

3. Example Plaza and the Skyscrapersim Coding Tutorials series
I have created a YouTube series of tutorials on how to make your own Skyscrapersim building from the ground up, and Example Plaza is the basic demo building that goes along with those tutorials. It is a simple 22-storey office tower with 10 KONE TMS traction lifts and a few other interesting features.

What buildings do you have coming up?
Future projects will be revealed whenever I feel ready to do so. All of the original plans regarding things like the Spaceport trilogy have been cancelled and other projects which I have been working on for a while will replace them and be shown at some point soon.

How to add The Lift Excelsior Portfolio to Skyscrapersim:
  • Before you install this project, you must first install the EG881 Integration Project. Textures from this project are necessary for my buildings and you will also need ObjectPlus to have custom working escalators.
  • Follow the Google Drive link above to download the zip file. Depending on your OS, it may require manual extraction or it may extract itself.
  • Open the folder entitled "The Lift Excelsior Portfolio." In it should be two subfolders, buildings and data.
  • Copy everything from the buildings and data folders into your main Skyscraper buildings and data folders. Make sure everything goes in the right place or there will be errors.
  • Run Skyscrapersim and try running the buildings. They should now be working and ready to go!

Notes on this release:
  • This project has been tested in Skyscraper 1.12 Alpha and Skyscraper 2.1 Beta on an M4 chip Mac computer. The code should work as far back as the 2018 build but this has not been tested. If you encounter errors running the buildings, always update your version of Skyscraper before asking for troubleshooting help.
  • Credit is given to Mn10 for the Mn10 Scripts, which are used in these buildings and redistributed along with the package to aid installation.
  • Credit is also given to EG881 for the ObjectPlus script and EG881 textures, neither of which are included with this project.
  • I am open to bug reports, but please make them realistic. Do not report bugs that aren't real bugs, as this is very annoying and disrespectful. Me forgetting to add a door to the stairwell is a bug, but the floors disabling because you jumped out of a lift too early is not a bug; that is user error and that can be easily corrected.
  • Please ask my permission if you want to redistribute anything from this project.

Help! The building(s) won't load! What do I do?

Update your version of Skyscraper first. Even if it looks recent and says 1.11 Alpha or similar, it may still be very old. You'll be amazed how often this fixes things. Always, always update your version of Skyscraper before asking for troubleshooting help, and make sure you have properly installed the package and all of its dependencies. If you still get script errors after all of these steps, make a reply on this topic and I will investigate.[/b]

That's all for now, folks. Enjoy the buildings, and I hope to see you soon for the announcement of some new projects.

Buildings / Re: Texture Issues on IOI Boulevard

I loaded up a recent BBC-created building (IOI Boulevard) and most of the button textures are some black texture. My latest elevator tour video below shows this:

Could you test the building on the 2.0 release of Skyscraper, if you're using 2.1?  I want to make sure 2.0 is working fine, it should be.

I checked a few other BBC buildings and they don't have the issue. Additionally I checked the .bld file and there's no black texture found in the building file.
I'm pretty sure it's a bug within the game itself, in case you're using the 2.1 versions onwards. On top of that, I've seen the same issue on Gooper1 SkyscraperSim's videos using 2.1.

Just look for patch builds in the Download Skyscraper Simulator section if that'd help. If my suggestion doesn't fix anything, then I highly apologize.
